Operating System 1/4

     An operating system (OS) is system software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides common service for computer programs. All computer programs, excluding firmware, require an operating system to function.
    In these tasks, the operating system must essentially perform the following functions:



  • MANAGEMENT OF HARDWARE RESOURCES: It directs and coordinates the operation of all the resources of the (Hard drives, CD, memory, microprocessor, keyboard, mouse ...). 


  • DISPLAY USER INTERFACE: It provides a form of communication between the user and the machine.


  •  ADMINISTER THE FILES: It is responsible for storing the data in the storage units and performs Tasks related to their manipulation (copy, move, rename and delete). 


  • ADMINISTER THE TASKS OR PROCESSES: Currently, the operating systems are multitasking (you can perform Several jobs) and should regulate the allocation of the different resources between the Tasks in progress. 


  • MANAGE THE PROGRAMS: It allows you to install, update and uninstall programs. Also, It also loads, initiates, monitors, controls and terminates program execution. 


  • CONTROLS COMMUNICATIONS BY NETWORK: It allows the connection and communication between the different Network
